May 15, 2019 - 6:54 am

Irvine police on Tuesday released a mug shot of a defendant, as well as a picture of his car, to see if the man may have taken photos up the skirts of more than one alleged victim.

Nathan Martin Haley, 45, of Portola Hills, was charged March 20 with a single misdemeanor count of using a concealed recording device to photograph a woman without her consent. Irvine investigators suspect there may be more victims in Orange County.

The woman called Irvine police on July 31 alleging that a suspect used his phone to take pictures of her under her skirt at a car wash at 3080 Main St., according to Kim Mohr of the Irvine Police Department.

She alleged the man pretended to drop his phone under her dress; she further alleged that he attempted again to place his phone on the ground near her as she vacuumed her car, Mohr said.

The woman took a picture of the suspect's blue Mini Cooper as he drove away and, with the car's license plate, police identified Haley as a suspect, Mohr said.

Haley is scheduled to be arraigned June 11 in the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach. His attorney, Brian Gurwitz, declined comment.

Other potential victims or anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Leticia Hernandez at 949-724-7245 or lhernandez@cityofirvine.org.
