The puppy that was found tossed in a dumpster in Coachella and aptly named Hope is thriving.

According to Sherman Oaks-based Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation Facebook post, "only a few weeks old at the time, vet staff was unsure if she would ever walk again. But through consistent rehab and care - took steps we never thought she could."

"Currently she is in foster being treated for burns that have not yet healed, but is expected to make a full recovery. While the scars of her past life will never leave her. It is who we are on the inside, that touches the world and those that surround us," the post said.

Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation, an animal rescue organization in Sherman Oaks, initially offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. Now, that reward is up to $20,000, thanks to donations $5,000 each from actress Shannen Doherty and model Joanna Krupa.

Only a few weeks old at the time, the pit bull puppy appeared to have had her tail cut off, was severely burned, and  unable to walk due to both her age and the presumed assault and beating.
