The best airport in the US is really close to you. So is the worst.

If you guessed LAX for either of those choices, you are getting warmer.

Hollywood Burbank airport is the best airport in the US, according to Fodor's Travel, which publishes travel and tourism information, offering expert travel advice for every stage of a traveler’s trip online, on social media and in guide books.

Why?

Because it's easy to get in and out with its two terminals, quick shuttle access, cheap parking lot prices, and delicious food.

The runner up for best airport was Austin-Bergstrom International Airport with its quirky, original and hometown restaurants and live music spots across the terminals.

LAX was deemed the worst airport in the world. And if you've ever tried to catch a flight but end up being stuck in Terminal 5 traffic in the roundabout design, you feel this acutely.

"Thanks to the improbably stupid design of its catastrophic horseshoe motor-loop, it regularly requires 30 minutes to travel the short mile from the outskirts of the airport to most of its terminals," the website wrote in its write-up.

There were other winners too -- for the best international airport was Singapore Changi International because of its mazes, gardens shopping and more. Best shopping went to London's Heathrow because of the vast array of choices that are both British and otherwise and grab and go abilities.
