Fish For Your Dinner At This NYC Restaurant

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A new restaurant has opened in Manhattan that has people angling for more.

In this week's Sweet Spot, Mike Sugerman stops by Zauo, where diners fish for their dinner.

Zauo is a gimmick imported from Japan and features ponds stocked with striped bass, rainbow trout, steelhead salmon and other fish.

"We're just a fishing restaurant," General Manager Rui Higuchi said. "[It's] a very new concept, a lot of people don't know about us."

But people are getting hooked.

"We want people to be able to come in and have a little fun while trying to enjoy a good meal as well," Higuchi said.

The company has 13 locations in Japan. It started back in 1993.

The prices might be hard to swallow for some. They can start at $12 a fish but can go up to $125.

Once you catch your fish, it can be prepared any way you want.
