Driver Injured, Dog Taken Away in Gurney after Crash in Santa Clarita

A driver was hurt following a rollover SUV crash on the lawn of a fire station in Santa Clarita Thursday night.

A dog inside the car was taken to an emergency vet.

The incident happened in front of Fire Station 128 on Whites Canyon Road.  Luckily, firefighters were on the scene to help the situation.

An LA Fire official tells CBS-2  firefighters were able to provide help to the victims almost immediately: 

"The collaboration efforts of the three agencies, we give the dog the best chance of survival."

It's not clear what led to the crash but several pieces of the car were left scattered on the street.
