The U.S. Coast Guard released a dramatic and daring video on Instagram of a drug smuggling bust at sea made by the crew of Cutter Munro.

The stop netted more than 16,000 pounds of cocaine and was made during one of the crew's missions off the coast of Central and South America. Based in Coronado, the crew has made 14 busts in all, with over 39,000 pounds of cocaine impounded by federal agents.

The video captured the bust of a "self-propelled, semi-submersible vessel."

Flying along in the ocean at full speed, the Coast Guard can be heard identifying themselves and demanding the vessel stop.

“We disrupt the cocaine profits drug cartels use to diversify and fund other illicit activities like trafficking opioids and methamphetamines, and we do it at sea where they are most vulnerable,” Adm. Karl Schultz wrote on Facebook.
