Amazing Video: Using a Vibrating Vest to Give Dogs Commands

How about using a remote control and a vibrating vest to control your dog in situations that may be emergencies -- or even to just get their attention?

Researchers at a university in Israel have figured out how to use a remote control, a vibrating vest and a test dog for more efficient and effective feedback through vibrating commands.

Researchers at Ben-Gurion University's BGU Robotics Lab combined the use of a canine vest with vibrating motors that touch various parts of the dog, encouraging the pup to follow the silent commands through the various vibrating sensations.

The vest is able to provide haptic feedback or the use of vibration.

The testing dog, Tai, is a Lab and German Shepherd mix. The vibrating motors were able to command the dog to move "down" or "spin."
