All four of the officers involved in the death of George Floyd will face charges, according to a tweet by Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison's official announcement is expected to come Wednesday afternoon,

Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was initially charged with 3rd-degree murder had his charges go up to second-degree murder and manslaughter

Officers Thomas Lane and J.A. Keung, who helped restrain Floyd, and a fourth officer, Tou Thao, who stood near the others, were not initially charged, but have now been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

Two autopsies on Floyd determined that he died by homicide. Minneapolis Police chief Medaria Arradondo fired the four officers and said they were "complicit" in Floyd's death, and Floyd's family and protesters nationwide have called for them to be arrested and convicted for the killing.

Attorney for the Floyd family tweeted that although it was a bittersweet moment, the family is "deeply gratified" that all officers involved were charged and Chauvin's charge was upgraded.

The other three officers have yet to be arrested.

This is a developing story.
