A driver, who caused a collision that hurt two CHP officers and a woman in Fountain Valley, has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

CHP officer Duane Graham tells KNX. a woman was driving a Prius on the southbound 405 this morning near a construction zone when a speeding car hit her and another vehicle from behind.

"That collision caused the Prius to veer towards the left, into the closed portion of the roadway where it then struck the rear of a patrol vehicle. That patrol vehicle had two officers, a driver and a passenger , they were stopped," he said.

Graham described the injuries to the officers as major and moderate but says they'll recover.

Earlier Friday morning, all southbound lanes at Warner Avenue on the southbound 405 freeway were shut down. Now, the two right, southbound lanes are open but still expect delays and traffic.

The woman will recover too.

The driver of the car, who caused the initial collision, was later arrested.
